Dr Mary Fariba Afsari is coming out with her medical memoir, Labor: One Women’s Work, published by Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster, on April 7, 2026. Her book received a Kirkus Starred Review and she will be featured as a debut author in an upcoming issue of Kirkus Review.
