#1 Take a moment to reply to your acceptance email and let me know it was received.
I would appreciate hearing back from you with just a quick “got it,” or “thank you,” so I know you received your acceptance. As you know, sometimes emails can get lost or misdirected. Your response will give me peace of mind as I try to keep things rolling along. Please Note: If you are a Gmail user, please train your Gmail account to deliver emails from communityofwriters.org to your inbox. (Emails from us are often misdirected to the Promotions tab.) To do this, simply drag my emails from your promotions tab to your inbox.

#3 Complete our Demographic Survey
Today, before you forget, complete our confidential Demographic Survey. (This assists us with grant applications, such as for the NEA, and other uses, now especially urgent.)
As a thank-you for participating, anyone who completes the online survey will be entered in a drawing to get a free signed copy of Anthony Cody’s new book, The Rendering. There are only 12 questions in the survey. It should take no time at all. At the end of the survey, you will be asked to enter a secret 10-digit number. Make sure you make note of it. It will be the number we call if you win the drawing.

Any participant in the Community of Writers summer workshops automatically agrees to our community’s Terms and Conditions when submitting the Registration Form. Make sure sure to read this page before proceeding.

#5 Complete the Poetry Workshop Registration Form (link at bottom of page)
The Registration Form (below) must be submitted by noon on April 20. (Before you start, make sure to print out and read the Acceptance Package, above.) In order to be ready to complete the form, consider the following:
A. Consider Your Housing Options
Important Housing details are in the Acceptance Package. Some housing options are in short supply. Preference will be given to those who pay their deposit and submit their forms early. We ask you to give us three housing preferences. If you do that, you should get one of your top choices, if submitted by the deadline.
B. Consider your travel arrangements
Please read your acceptance package details about travel, and start making plans for your trip to Olympic Valley. If you will be flying out, please submit your air travel details to us before June 10.

C. Consider how you will pay your deposit
At the end of the Registration Form, you will be asked how you plan to pay your nonrefundable deposit. In most cases, deposits will be $1000. (For financial aid recipients, the exact amount for you will be noted in your acceptance email.) This deposit serves as a down payment on your tuition and/or housing charges.
- You can pay securely online with a credit card or with PayPal at the end of this form. A 3.20% service fee applies to credit card payments.
- Or you may mail a check to arrive by the deadline. Make sure to include your full name.
