Judy Juanita‘s debut novel, Virgin Soul, was published by Viking in 2013. The High Cost of Freeways, her short story collection, was a finalist in the Donna Tartt First Fiction Contest 2014. An essay collection, De Facto Feminism: Essays Straight Outta Oakland, was published in September 2016. Her poem “Bling” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2013.
