Désirée Zamorano is the author of The Amado Women, published by Cinco Puntos Press, which was book-of-the-month pick for the national organization Las Comadres, an excerpt of which was published the Los Angeles Times magazine West. More recently, her stories have appeared in Huizache and her essays on the invisibility of her demographic have been in Publishers Weekly and The Toast.
