John Harvey (’95): John Harvey ran Slow Dancer Press from 1977 to 1999, publishing, amongst others, the work of Sharon Olds, Lucille Clifton and James Schuyler in the UK. His own New & Selected Poems, Out of Silence, was published by Smith/Doorstop in 2014 and Aslant published by Shoestring Press in 2019. His crime fiction has won major prizes in Great Britain, France and the US, and he is the recipient of the Crime Writers Association Cartier Diamond Dagger for Sustained Excellence in Crime Writing.
