John Briscoe’s book The Lost Poems of Cangjie was released the end of March 2017 by Risk Press. Crush: The Triumph of California Wine, was one of four finalists for the California Historical Society’s Book Award for 2016, and will be published by University of Nevada Press in the spring of 2018. His writing has appeared in The Antioch Review and other small magazines, and this year in Catamaran Literary Reader, White Stag, and the San Francisco Chronicle, of all places. He attended the Community of Writers in 2009, 2013 and 2016.
