Celeste León is the author of Luck is Just the Beginning, released by Floricanto Press in 2015. The novel, inspired by a true story, earned a Mariposa Award for Best First Book in the 2016 International Latino Book Awards and Finalist in Multicultural Fiction in the 2016 International Book Awards. It was selected as Book of The Month by Las Comadres and Friends National Latino Book Club. Ms. León was named “One of Ten Latina Authors to Watch and Read” by the Latina Book Club of New York. Her personal essay, “Finding Home,” about her travels to Puerto Rico, won First Prize in the Annual Contest for High Sierra Writers of Reno, Nevada.
