Amy Antongiovanni is a poet and English Instructor at Butte Community College. Her most recently published poem (LARB) began in a workshop here at Community of Writers with Forrest Gander. Amy graduated in the first poetry MFA class at St. Mary’s College and has been practicing poetry and teaching ever since. When Brenda encouraged her to apply to Community of Writers in 1999, she did, and came to Olympic Valley for the first time in 2001, where she met Evie, Forrest, Kazim, Sharon and so many other wonderful friends and poets. This community has sustained her writing over the years, and it continues to nourish and inspire her to write more poetry while raising three boys, gardening, and teaching yoga.
