We will send you a reminder when it is time to submit your manuscripts. Use the Submit Manuscripts Form below. Note: It doesn’t benefit you to submit your manuscript early. Feel free to wait until June.

Submit Your Manuscript for Workshop

We ask that your Workshop Manuscript, to be discussed by your group, be similar in tone and theme to the one submitted for acceptance. We must disallow radical genre shifts because we base the staff assignments on the application manuscript. (See the Manuscript section of the Acceptance Package for details about the Workshop Manuscript.)

We ask that you provide us with your Workshop Manuscript in two forms:
1) By June 25, pre-submit a digital copy of your manuscript for workshop to our website via the link below.
2) Please duplicate 14 copies of the exact manuscript (collated and stapled) and bring these photocopies with you to Olympic Valley on July 10

Submit Your Individual Conference Manuscript

The manuscript you submitted for acceptance will by default be used for your Individual Conference, unless you submit a replacement. If you are happy with the one you submitted, there is no need to do more. However, you may submit a replacement. Please indicate on the registration form if we should use the original manuscript for individual conference, or if you will be submitting a replacement.
(See the Manuscript section of the Acceptance Package for details about the Individual Conference Manuscript.)

MANUSCRIPTS OVERVIEW:

Please use this form for uploading your manuscripts for the Group Workshop and for your Individual Conference, if desired. Make sure your manuscript(s) are the way you want them.

Manuscripts, whether for workshops or individual conferences, must be 5,000 words or less, double spaced.

Make sure your name appears on each page, and please paginate. Make sure the word count is also included on the first page. If excerpted from a novel or book-length manuscript, include at the end of the manuscript a concise one-page synopsis, recounting the larger plot, so that your readers know the context and may provide more pertinent criticism of your excerpt. If short fiction or essay, only one can be treated. (It takes just as much time for the workshop to discuss a six-page story/essay as it does a longer one.)

Manuscripts

Use this form to upload your manuscripts for the Writers Workshops week. There is no need to submit your manuscripts months early. From experience we know that tinkering may occur in the intervening months. Make sure you submit your final draft. We will not be able to accept a newer draft a few days or weeks later.

Note: We prefer your receive your manuscript as a Word.doc or docx. PDF files are also acceptable, though not preferable.

Group Workshop Manuscript

The manuscript you submit here will be used for the group morning workshop. It will be sent in advance to the staff member to whom you have been assigned for workshop. The participants in your workshop group will each receive one of the copies you bring with you to opening day.

Book excerpts must have a plot summary attached at the end of the manuscript. Manuscript and plot summary must be in one digital file.
