50th Anniversary Poetry Anthology – Submissions Guidelines

The Community of Writers is approaching its 50th anniversary in 2020. One way we intend to mark the occasion is the publication of an anthology of poems written at the poetry workshop by both participants and staff.

These poems may or may not have been published in the yearly anthologies, formerly titled The Squaw Valley Review now called Written Here; but they would have been written or at least begun during the weeklong workshop. There will be a physical book, as well as an ebook or online collection. The latter will include a poem from everyone who submits; the printed book will be selected from the poems submitted. The books will have poems from staff poets as well as workshop participants.

Upload up to two poems in both Word and PDF format. The deadline is April 1, but the sooner the better.

Only the work of alums and staff poets of the Poetry Workshop will be considered.

We are excited about this project and look forward to receiving your work!
